HAMILTON CO.— A pair of Kings men have found themselves in some serious trouble due to their alleged hunting proclivities.
Robert L. Widick, 21, and Leslie Eric Widick, 50, both of 13957 East Mowers Rd., Kings (a little village in Ogle County, Illinois), have been charged with Unlawful Possession of Weapons by a Felon.
According to information filed in the cases, on November 23, both Widicks were found half a mile east of Coal Mine Road, on sustainable conservation property.
Both convicted felons, both said to be toting shotguns.

Both were also charged with Unlawful Hunting Without a Hunting License, Unlawful Hunting Without a Deer Permit, Failure to Sign Deer Permit, and Unlawful Hunting Without Permission.
Criminal histories
Unfortunately, both men happened to have criminal histories that are going to negatively impact these little conservation violations in Hamilton County.
Leslie Eric Widick was convicted of felony Theft in Ogle County in 2003 and sentenced to 30 months probation.
At the time of his hunting arrest Robert Widick was serving a five-year probation sentence after an April 2014 conviction for Burglary.
In addition to probation, Robert was ordered to pay $4,776 in fines and fees, of which he still owes $2,900.
Both men were released from custody after posting $1,500 cash bond each.
