CLAY CO., Ill. - It’s a brief report (and something for which the deputies are undoubtedly grateful) out of Clay County today, where Sheriff Andy Myers is giving us some information about department activity across the dates of July 13 through the 17th.
July 13, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Michelle D. Wolfe, 46, Noble, on an outstanding Jasper County warrant for Possession of Another's Debit Card. Bond set at $5,000.00 (10 percent). She was transported to Jasper County Jail.
July 13, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Cody Kell, 25, Flora, for Battery. He was given a Notice to Appear and released.
July 14, Clay County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Trevor A. Wolfe, 24, Clay City, for Home Invasion. Bond set at $75,000.00 (10 percent). He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.
July 14, Clay County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Brittany N. Highsmith, 25, Flora, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine Precursors. Bond on the warrant set at $3,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. Highsmith also has additional charges of Manufacture/Delivery of Cannabis and Violation of Probation. Bond set at $25,000.00 (10 percent). She is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.
July 15, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Sydney N. McKnelly, 21, Flora, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Driving While Driver's License Suspended. Bond set at $5,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. She posted bond and was released.

July 17, the Clay County Sheriff's Office received a report of a motor vehicle accident at 10:30 a.m. at Casey's parking lot in Clay City. Apparently Hunter Gray, 22, Clay City, was parked in a 2011 Toyota truck and Lucretia Lynk, 49, Flora, operating a 2008 Ford proceeded to back her vehicle from a parking spot and struck the Gray vehicle. Lynk was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol and Operation of Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Lynk posted bond and was released. No injuries reported.
