FLORA, Ill. - Not only did Flora City Police deal with some of the same characters the county deputies did...but they also had some of the same responsibilities, like: Serving warrants for both Jasper and Fayette counties.
Here's what Chief John Nicholson had to say about his department's activities between July 10-16, 2017.
Monday, July 10 at 11:43 am, Flora Police arrested Dana Sapp, 30, of Flora for Driving While License Suspended, following a traffic stop in the 200 block of East Railroad Street. Sapp underwent booking procedures at Flora Police Department and was released with a Notice to Appear.
Tuesday, July 11 at 3:09 pm, Rachel Merritt, 29, of Edgewood was arrested by Flora Police for Driving While License Revoked, following a traffic stop in the 800 block of East North Avenue. Merritt was released with a Notice to Appear.
Wednesday, July 12 at 8:27 pm, Flora Police arrested Vivian Pruitt, 49, of Flora for Trespassing following an incident in the 300 block of East Scudamore. Pruitt underwent booking procedures at Flora Police Department before being transferred to the custody of Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
Thursday, July 13 at 11:34 pm, Flora police arrested Cody Kell, 25, of Flora for Driving While License Revoked, following a traffic stop on South Main Street. Kell underwent booking procedures and was released with a Notice to Appear.
Friday, July 14 at 6:53 pm, Flora Police arrested Terry Knolhoff, 46, of Coffeen for Obstructing Identification, 2 outstanding warrants from Bond County and 1 warrant for Fayette County, following a traffic stop in the 600 block of North Worthey. Knolhoff was unable to post bond and was transported by Clay County Sheriff’s Office. During the traffic stop, Flora Police also arrested Bobby Bryan, 51, of Flora on outstanding warrants out of Fayette and Jasper counties. Bryan was able to post the necessary cash bond and was released with a court date.
Saturday, July 15 at 7:20 pm, Alexis Barnick, 24, of Flora was issued a Citation for Suspended Registration, following a traffic stop in the 500 block of East North Avenue.
Sunday, July 16 at 3:48 pm, Flora Police arrested Robert Boswell, 39, of Flora on an outstanding Wayne County Warrant for Failure to Appear. Boswell posted the necessary cash bond and was released with a court date.
