NOBLE MAN ARRESTED IN CLAY COUNTY BURGLARY IN PROGRESS

CLAY CO., Ill. - Clay County Sheriff Andy Myers has released information on the situation involving a Noble man being arrested for Burglary last week.

Myers said that on December 8 at approximately 9:09 a.m.,the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a residence in Hoosier Township.

Upon arrival the sheriff and deputies began checking the residence and located a male subject inside the house.

When the subject was confronted by the sheriff and deputies, he fled into a wooded area north of the residence. The subject was taken into custody following a foot pursuit.

As a result of a the incident, Charles A. Hundley, 26, of Noble, was arrested for the offenses of Resisting a Peace Officer, Criminal Trespass to Residence, and Residential Burglary. Hundley was also arrested for an Effingham County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine.

Bond was set in amount $7,500 plus $75 FTA fee, 10 percent to apply, and a Richland County Warrant for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle bond was set in the amount $50,000, 10 percent to apply.

Hundley is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.
