CROSSVILLE, Ill. - Due to the recent activity of her felon relatives, as well as her own arrest for FTA, Crossville's terror, Patti J. Hyatt, is at it again.

Known as Nutty Patti, the 55-year-old Crossville resident went off the rails earlier this week after one of her errant kids, Joseph Levi Jordan, was busted with faces-of-meth queen, Tara Fitzgerald.
On Wednesday, Jordan's probation was revoked (from a meth possession felony in April), as we predicted it would be when he and Fitzgerald engaged in this incident, which attracted the attention of police and got Fitzgerald hemmed up on a pot charge in White County.
Apparently, that set everyone off. Hyatt's brother (so they say; who knows), Alan Santiago, who is a felon out of Hamilton County, also joined in on the fray. He's every bit as nutty as she is, evidently. We'll review his version of lunacy first; the initial one is from August 1:

Us: (A day later, August 2) Yeah that's what I thought.August 28:
Santiago: Your paper is a joke you had no right in smearing my name. So i will be talking to a lawyer. And get it right i was arrested because i was there and i never layed a hand on that woman or threated her. It was that dumbass of a sister of mine that did it and i hope she rots in prison for what she did. Oh and get your answers tha piece of crap Tara was the only one arrested.
Us: You go right ahead, bud. You'd better hope you got everything in order, because as soon as I get sued, I get this little thing called subpoena power. With that, I can crawl into your life and stay there for the pendency of the case. You will see me in your mirror in the morning when you shave. So I suggest you get to movin on it. I eat people better than you and sh!t OUT material better than you for breakfast...which your breakfasts, by the way, I will be able to find out what you've had all the way back to kindergarten with subpoenas. So get on it. I'll be here waiting.

Here's what you're gonna do: You're gonna stop now. I've told you on Facebook to stop contacting me. You subvert that and you email; bad idea. So you've got another shot, here: You stop contacting us in any form. Because you're on parole, and I have Justin Hood's cell phone number, and if he wants to violate you because of cyberharassment - which is what this is if you send me ONE MORE EMAIL OR ANY FORM OF COMMUNICATION - I'm gonna see to it you are. You look like a little punk who likes guys bigger than you, so I know you won't mind going back to DOC...but you're not gonna want the black mark on your record, since you didn't touch that woman and all. So that stopped him. But then Wednesday, Ms. Patti chimed in...not on our main page, but on the backside of Disclosure Heartland, a page originally designed to report from our second news product from five years ago, but when that was folded in with the regular product, we opted to use it for things that Fecesbook doesn't like to see on the main page (Heartland's a very interesting page); here's her most recent rant, which she was able to do in profusion until one of our admin caught it:

Unfortunately for Ms. CrayCray, it doesn't work the way she's describing...and apparently, is attempting to accomplish. As soon as we got the above insanity sent to us, we contacted Facebook with all of it and let them know that there was a concerted attempt to harm our business, and they are now right on it...and flagging said complaints associated with her. That's because she's trying to make Facebook responsible for carrying legitimate threats of harming a private business (known as 'tortious interference' in the courts, which is illegal in the state of Illinois as well as pretty much everywhere else), and they don't want that...so they just flag, then ignore. If in fact they were to take such action and it did harm our business, the tort would be colossal, so someone might want to try and explain that to Ms. Patti, so she doesn't waste her last lung cells getting vapor-lock over the attempt. Telling the truth about a crim = non-actionable in court. Harming a business over telling the truth about a crim = actionable...so she'd better get to DJ-ing if she wants to save up, just in case she tiptoes a little too close to the line of tortious interference. And that's besides the cyberharassment by both her AND Santiago, which are also actionable...but only if I'm feeling mean, which I'm trying not to these days (you can probably tell), since Santiago IS on probation and Hyatt IS under an FTA in Wabash.
What...? What's that? Yes. According to Wabash County (where her 2013 DUI was reduced to traffic tickets), Hyatt was supposed to have shown up on Tuesday for a pay or appear, which is what got her arrested on August 2 and the mugshot at the top of the page shot to begin with. She's yammering on her Facebook page about "false arrest" and all kinds of nonsense, but by that we can at least tell that we're not the only ones that are the focus of her incessant ill-formed tirades...she dislikes the county constabulary, too.
Anyway, Wabash says she's FTA again because she was supposed to have shown up Tuesday and she did not (it's unknown whether or not she's aware that she had court Tuesday; if she didn't, she does now. You're welcome, CrayCray). The prelim on the case has been set over, therefore, to September 26. Whether they'll pick her up on another FTA warrant or not remains to be seen.
So we just wanted to show you the garbage we have to put up with, which happens a lot more often than you can even imagine. But this is a very simple situation with a very simple solution if you don't like the outcome: If you don't like your name in print (unless it's for a feature, which is a good thing), don't run afoul of the law. If you do run afoul of the law, take your lumps, because your name's gonna be here or in the paper in some form; but it you don't want things doubled-down, don't harass us. We're just doing our job. And when you harass us, it becomes our job to tell people that's what you're doing...because chances are pretty good that if you're dumb enough to do it to us, you're doing it to someone else, too, and people need to know about that, just like they need to know about how our tax dollars are being spent on DUI, beating on another person, dope, whatever the case might be, over your indiscretion. Just be decent...and you'll be aight.
