CLAY CO., Ill. - Clay County State's Attorney Joel Powless has filed charges against the Missouri trucker involved in a fatal three-vehicle collision in Flora on July 27 that killed two young men.

In a press release from Clay County Sheriff Andy Myers, it was announced that the charges were filed yesterday (Monday, August 28), and an arrest warrant was served on Walter B. Pollock, 62, of Sikeston, Missouri.

Pollock was charged with Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Drugs (three separate counts), Unlawful Possession of Meth; Reckless Homicide (two counts); On-Duty Commercial Driver Driving Under the Influence of Drugs (three separate counts); and Possession of Drugs by on-duty Commercial Driver.

These charges are the result of the fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred on July 27 this year at the intersection of Highway 50 and North Stanford Road. Jacob Russell Stewart, 27, of Olney, and Eric Bosel, 29, of Noble, were both killed in the crash.

Bail was set at $250,000; Pollock posted cash bond of $25,000 and was released. He's been set for a preliminary hearing on the case September 13.
