LAWRENCEVILLE, Ill. - Reports of multiple break-ins came in this morning to Lawrenceville Police, and authorities there have been busy working the situation.
Break-ins were reported this morning as having occurred in the overnight hours (Wednesday, April 20-Thursday, April 21) as of this morning.
The locations of the cars in question are along Cedar and 12th streets.
Chief of Police Jim White said that there were as many as six cars that had been called in as having been broken into, but the only thing that was reported taken out of them were money and change; other valuables left in the cars were untouched.
There were no house break-ins reported, White said; just cars.
