WHITE CO., Ill. - Two felons were sent off to DOC out of White County this week, according to State's Attorny Denton Aud.
The first was Charley Jo Buchanan, 25, of Carmi, who entered a plea to a Class 4 felony Theft charge. In exchange for the plea, Buchanan received 18 months DOC and 1 year MSR (parole). As well, she was ordered to pay all mandatory fines, fees, costs, and assessments, along with $100 restitution to Casey's General Store. Her charge was enhanced to a felony based on a prior conviction of theft.
The second was Arthur R. Barger, 35, of Carmi, who was sentence to two years DOC/one year parole on a Class 3 felony Theft conviction. His probation was revoked with the sentence to the Illinois Department of Corrections imposed with the defendant being ordered to pay all previously ordered fines, fees, costs, assessments, and restitution.
