WABASH CO., Ill.---A registered sex offender is behind bars in Mt. Carmel after failing to register locally...and Texas authorities are looking at him too.
Rameon R. Green, 21, living in Allendale, was picked up yesterday (March 17) for failure to register as a sex offender after being non-compliant in Marion County, Texas.
Green became a registered sex offender in that state in March of 2014, after being convicted of the crime of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. The victim in the case, a female, was only 13 years of age. He remains on probation in Marion County; what he was doing in Wabash County remains unknown.
Charges in Texas are pending as well.
