WABASH CO., Ill.---A multi-county crim is seeing his recent bad behavior come to an abrupt end thanks to a plea in Wabash.
Rocky L. Hoard, 32, of Mt. Carmel, was sentenced to six years in DOC yesterday by Judge Mike Molt in Wabash County Circuit Court after a plea deal was struck in that county Monday, March 16.
Hoard was charged in Wabash on February 24 with Aggravated Arson, a Class X felony, after he attacked a trailer in which two people were present, throwing a gas can through a window and setting a fire; this was pled down to Residential Arson, a Class 1 felony, in the agreement. You can read about the Class X insanity in our current article regarding the matter by clicking this link if you have an online membership to the e-Edition; if you don't have one, that link will get you on your way with just a few mouse clicks, so you can read all our coverage for the area's crims and corrupt.
Hoard is up on charges in Hamilton, and has an OP against him out of White, so his multi-county craziness is hopefully at an end for a while, thanks to State's Attorney Cassandra Goldman out of Wabash.
Hoard must serve two years of parole after release, and has been ordered to pay $2,812 in fines and fees in Wabash.
