EDWARDS CO., Ill.—An Albion man who can’t seem to control his temper has been sentenced in at least one of his Edwards County battery cases.
Ivan Hinds Jr, 20, was sentenced yesterday in Edwards County circuit court by Judge David Frankland to four years DOC, fines and costs in an Aggravated Battery case dating back to January of this year.
While the details of that case weren’t made available, the situation that arose in October of this year was what prompted the conviction in the current case: The DOC sentence came as a part of a probation revocation in the January charge.
Hinds was given 20 days credit for time served, and other Agg Batt charges against him in the January incident were dismissed as part of the plea. As part of the sentence Hinds must pay $1,142, of which $420 (bond posted in the case) has already been paid.
