CARMI, Ill. - A Saline County teen was arrested and jailed in White County after a traffic stop in Carmi yesterday.
Carmi Police report a traffic stop last night (Tuesday, March 14) at a few minutes before 9 p.m. on Burrell at Valter.
Tyler Kinney, 19, showing an address of Raleigh in Saline County, was stopped after an officer saw him driving with only one operating headlight.
The subsequent investigation into driver's info showed that Kinney was allegedly operating without insurance and without valid vehicle registration. Kinney was cited for all three.
However, upon further investigation, authorities allegedly found meth, cannabis, and drug paraphernalia.
Kinney was cited for the latter and taken into custody on the former, charged with felony Possession of Meth.
As of this morning, he remained housed in the White County Jail on that charge.
