CARMI, Ill. - Two individuals - neither of them appearing happy about it - were taken in, one yesterday, one this morning, on separate warrant arrests in Carmi....but at the same address.
The first occurred at 6:50 last night (Thursday, September 28) when Sarah E. Brown, 33, of the 800 block of Smith Street in Carmi, was arrested at her residence on a felony warrant for Obstruction of Justice. The charge stems from a Sept. 18 incident, and she was already on probation from a Retail Theft felony case from May of 2016.
She was advised that the bond on the current warrant was $1,500 and was placed in a cell at the White County Jail, which is where she remained as of last check this afternoon.
The next one was served this morning (Friday, Sept. 29) at 12:13 a.m....at the same location, it appears.
Documents show that Sandy L. Tyson, 51, showing a residence on the 800 block of Smith Street (exactly where Brown's was listed as), was arrested at that address on his own Obstruction of Justice felony charge.
There's nothing indicated in submitted documents to show that the two arrests were related...but one never knows.
No court date has been set for either Brown n or Tyson as yet.
