EDWARDS CO., Ill. - A sizable number of cases have been filed in Edwards County here the past week or so, and State's Attorney Eric St. Ledger has made those cases available to you through the following information.
It starts with Allen D. Venters, 64, of West Salem, who was charged with Class 1 felony Aggravated DUI after he was stopped on July 22 in a Ford F150 pickup on Illinois Highway 15 West in proximity of Edwards County High School in Albion. He’s facing a second count of Class 4 felony Driving While License Revoked, from the same traffic stop. Bond was set at $3,000 cash, he remains jailed in White County for Edwards.
Scott A. Funkhouser, 63, of Mt. Carmel, has been charged with Residential Burglary and Theft in a two-count complaint, which alleged that between July 12 and August 4, Funkhouser entered in the dwelling place of Ricky N. Pollard on East Fair St. in Grayville and taking a Yard Machine lawn mower, Stihl chainsaw and Outdoor Spirit cable jumper with a total value not in excess of $500. Both of those are felonies; he’s also charged with a Class B misdemeanor Criminal Trespass to Property for same.
A gal also hemmed up in White County this past week, Shannon R. Nausley, 38, of Carmi, was charged in Edwards with a Class 3 felony Theft count, wherein it’s alleged that from on or about December 1, 2016 until on or about May 31, 2017, she took gift cards from Wabash Valley Service Company in Grayville, in excess of $500 but less than $10,000. She was jailed on a $1,500 cash bond.
Edwards had a meth arrest on July 31, resulting in charges against Traci Arrington, 47, of Bone Gap. She was charged with Class 3 felony Unlawful Possession of Meth, and Class A misdemeanor Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (a hypodermic syringe). A previous arrest on May 21 of Driving While Driver’s License Revoked was also recently charged (Aug. 2), and she’s extended term eligible for this Class 4 felony if convicted. Her bond has been set at $1,500.
Natasha C. Davis, 31, of Grayville, was charged today with an August 10 count of Unlawful Possession of Meth, a Class 3 felony, and three counts of Class A misdemeanor Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in the same circumstance: two glass pipes and a light bulb. She’s being held on a $1,500 cash bond.
Michael L. Davis, 42, of Grayville, was charged Friday, Aug. 11, with an August 10 Unlawful Possession of Meth allegation (a Class 3 felony) and three Class A misdemeanor Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia counts, the exact same items as Natasha Davis was charged with. No bond information was available.
And Ricky N. Pollard, 43, of Grayville, was also charged Friday, with an August 9 incident of Driving While Driver’s License Suspended after a traffic stop on North Court Street in Grayville. He’s being held on a $2,500 cash bond.
