It’s CLAY COUNTY day…and here’s the sheriff’s department report

CLAY CO., Ill. - Clay County Sheriff Andy Myers has issued information on his department's activity for the week of June 7 through 14th.

June 7, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Ashley Hutcheson, 32, Tolono, on an outstanding Clay County Contempt warrant. Bond set at $100.00 cash. She posted bond and was released.

June 7, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Misty Hill, 47, Clay City, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Speeding. Bond set at $1,500.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. She posted bond and was released.

June 9, Ryan Stockwell, 33, Clay City, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Domestic Battery, Endangering the Life or Health of a Child and Assault. Bond set at $15,000.00 (10 percent). He posted bond on a later day and was released.

June 11, Anthony J. Henkelman, 23, Effingham, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Burglary. Bond set at $2,500.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He posted bond and was released.

June 12, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Rhyver Cosner, 18, Louisville, for Petition to Revoke Probation on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Bond set at $15,000.00 (10 percent). He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.

June 12, the Clay County Sheriff's Office was notified of a motor vehicle accident at 11:21 p.m. east of the intersection of Highwy 50 and Mayflower. Apparently Phillip McGrady, 49, Olney, operating a 2014 Chevrolet was sitting at the red traffic light, going east, when another eastbound vehicle, 2001 Subaru, operated by Donald Boots, 38, Olney, struck the McGrady vehicle. Boots was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. No injuries reported.  

June 14, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Tiffiney Miller, 39, Flora, for Violation of Probation on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. She is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail awaiting the setting of bond. 

June 14, the Clay County Sheriff's Office was notified of a motor vehicle accident at 3:43 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Hwy 45 and Kinmundy Road in Louisville. Apparently Deanna Carder, 47, Clay City, operating a 2015 GMC was stopped at the intersection waiting to make a westbound turn and was struck by a 2012 Chevrolet operated by Nancy Walker, 56, Louisville, who was struck by a 2005 Chevrolet operated by Kristopher Blankenship, 37, St. Elmo. Blankenship was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. Walker was transported to St. Anthony's Hospital in Effingham for her injuries.
