LAWRENCEVILLE, Ill. - All area fire departments were toned out at 6:15 p.m. this evening to battle a fire at the old high school in Lawrenceville.
We're awaiting a little more information, but the images in this post are what we have right now from our correspondent in Lawrence.
The ceiling has collapsed on the top floor and everything in the attic is being considered a total loss.
All Lawrenceville and Bridgeport fire departments are on scene, but it's anticipated they'll need more.
When we learn more we'll post. Keep watching.
The above photo shows that the school is collapsing. Sumer FD has joined the fight, as has Vincennes from across the Wabash in Indiana.
We were told about 7:10 that everyone was being pushed back due to a threat of explosion; firefighters had apparently been told that there's fuel of some sort in the boiler room of the building.
There've been no evacuations as far as we've been told.

Bedford Fire Department has added their assistance.
Our correspondent was told that Wabash County Fire Department has been called, and that Farm Services is sending two 60-gallon diesel trucks, likely to fuel up the fire trucks on the scene.
Also, firefighters have advised that it appears the back of the building is going to collapse soon, this being said at about 8:30.
