WABASH CO., Ill. - Wabash County Sheriff Derek Morgan has released information on arrests happening in his county in the past week.
On April 12 at approximately 6:30 p.m., the Wabash County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a disabled vehicle on Highway 11 west of Allendale. When the deputy arrived he found Brandon J. Bond, 27, of Vincennes, walking back to the disabled vehicle. Upon checking the driving status of Bond it was discovered he was wanted on an outstanding warrant out of Knox County, Indiana, for failure to appear. Bond was taken into custody on the Indiana warrant and held for extradition.
On April 13 at approximately 4:30 p.m., Wabash County Sheriff's Deputies arrested David L. Culiver, 43 of Bellmont, on a charge of Domestic Battery. The arrest stems from an alleged incident where Culiver placed a family member in a headlock and threw that person onto a couch, after an argument that had escalated. Culiver was taken to the Wabash County Jail without incident where he later posted a $300 cash bond.
Additionally on that same day at approximately 8:12 p.m., Sheriff's Deputies arrested Crystal J. Newkirk, 35 of Bellmont, on a charge of Harassment Through Electronic Communication. Newkirk was transported to the Wabash County Jail without incident where she later posted bond and was released.
