WHITE CO., Ill. – An incident this past Friday morning lead to a White County man getting busted for a couple of domestic counts.
The situation started up at 8:48 a.m. when White County dispatch advised of a domestic fight in progress at a location on the 1900 block of County Road 830N in Rising Sun.
When Deputy Craig Poole arrived he spoke with one Erin D. Warrner, 35, who told Poole that she was sleeping and was awakened by Brian Darrt, 44, yelling at her, telling her that his mother was going to say Warrner had stolen Darrt’s mom’s car. When Warrner tried to call for help, she said, Darrt, grabbed hold of her and smacked her after grabbing the phone out of her hand.
Darrt, she told authorities, fled the residence prior to the arrival of officer, leaving in a dark-colored car and headed toward Carmi. Carmi city police were notified to be on the lookout.
Carmi police Officer Jonathan Lucas located Darrt and brought him to the PD; he was escorted back to the White County Jail and booked on charges of Domestic Battery and Interference with a Domestic Battery Report. He was also serve with an OP that Warrner had filed against him.
