FLORA, Ill. - Flora Police Chief John Nicholson has issued information on his department's activity for the week of February 6 through the 12th, 2017.
Monday, February 6, Brody Roberts, 18, of Flora was arrested on a Clay County Warrant for Forgery, stemming from an Investigation by Flora Police Department. Roberts is currently being held at Clay County Jail on $10,000.00 bond.
Monday, February 6 at 3:17 pm, Flora Police investigated an accident at the intersection of North Stanford and Hwy 50, involving a 2001 Chevrolet, operated by Doris McCann, 79, of Flora and a 2002 Ford, operated by Todd Johnson, 27, of Xenia. McCann was cited for Failure to Yield at Intersection. No injuries were reported.
Monday, February 6 at 8:27 pm, Morgan Miller, 24, of Flora was issued a citation for Expired Registration, following a traffic stop in the 400 block of Vincennes Avenue.
Thursday, February 9 at 5:58 pm, Flora Police issued a citation to a 16-year-old male juvenile, for GDL, Unlawful number of Passengers, following a traffic stop in the 600 block of South Locust Street.
Friday, February 10 at 10:33 am, Flora Police arrested Sally Millar, 51, of Xenia on an Outstanding Wayne County Warrant. Millar was taken to Flora Police Department for booking procedures. Millar was able to post the necessary cash bond and was released with a court date.
Friday, February 10 at 1:23 pm, Thomas Atchison, 53, of Walnut Hill was issued a citation for Speeding, following a traffic stop on Hwy 50 just East of Stanford Road.
Sunday, February 12 at 12:51 am, Flora Police arrested Eric Shelby, 21, of Flora on two outstanding Wayne County warrants. Shelby was also issued a Local Ordinance Citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Once at Flora Police Department, Shelby posted the necessary bond on both warrants and was released with a court date.
Sunday, February 12 at 12:52 am, Elijah McKnelly, 22, of Flora was issued citations for Operating Uninsured Vehicle and Expired Registration, following a traffic stop on Holly Lane.
Sunday, February 12 at 1:17 am, Flora Police arrested Heather Bromm, 45, of Flora for Driving Under the Influence. Bromm was also cited for Failure to Signal and Improper Lane Usage. Bromm was transported to Flora Police Department for booking procedures and released with a Notice to Appear.
