CARMI, Ill. - A Carmi man is still jailed this evening after a Saturday night throw-down that's being termed a domestic.
According to Carmi Police Chief Jason Carter, his officers were called to a residence on the 700 block of Burrell Street in town early in the morning (5:50 a.m. if the report is accurate) Saturday, February 11, where they encountered Aaron Roy Pearson, 49.
Apparently Pearson had gotten into it with a roommate, William K. Murphy, 27, and things allegedly got physical.
Also present was another roommate, Jennifer L. Murphy, 48, who was only a witness to the incident and not an alleged victim.
Pearson was lodged in the county jail where he remains pending the posting of bond.
Also this weekend, Carmi police early Saturday morning (12:17 a.m.) effected a traffic stop on the 600 block of Oak Street and found 32-year-old Keri L. Tarrants, of the 600 block of Oak Street, behind the wheel with No Valid Driver's License.Tarrants was able to post bond in the amount of $170 to secure her release.
