WHITE CO.— A Carmi man wanted on a doper warrant happened to be spotted outside the courthouse in Carmi.
What took place shortly thereafter came as no surprise...with the exception, possibly, of the wanted man.
The sheriff's department report concerning the matter was short and to the point.
On Monday, February 6, at approximately 11:02 a.m. sheriff Doug Maier was made aware of an arrest warrant for David W. Strean, 61, of 805 Smith St., Apt. 1.
The warrant is said to have been in connection with a search warrant served by the Carmi City Police Department early Saturday morning.
The warrant was for Unlawful Use of Property/ Possession of Methamphetamine.
“I observed Mr. Strean standing outside of the courthouse and placed him under arrest,” Maier said.
Cash bond in the case was set at $7,500.
