WABASH CO., Ill. - Unfortunately (for many, anyway), recreational pot use is still out of reach of Americans, for the most part.
Colorado and Washington state have made strides, but Illinois is still struggling with the issue, right now allowing only 39 medical conditions to qualify a person for medical cannabis, when a whole host of maladies can be effectively treated with either CBD or strong THC-containing products.
Part of the problem, unfortunately, will always be people like these, who seem to get busted because they allegedly can't leave the weed at home...they're just compelled to take it with them; then, when they get busted, they leave mugshots like this:
Trevor Rhinehart
This is Trevor Rhinehart, 18; hair color achieved by...blackberry koolaid? shoe polish? who knows...tatts, some indescribable thing that you really can't decipher and might be better looked at upside-down (or not at all). Hey...at least you can't see the cinderblocks through his earlobes.
Wabash County Sheriff's Office issued a press release that told of Trev's other indiscretions besides stupid tatts and weird hair: On May 3 at at 9:22 p.m., a Wabash County Sheriff's deputy conducted a traffic stop at Park Road and Miskel Drive in Mt. Carmel, for two traffic violations. Upon making contact with the driver, the deputy detected a strong odor of suspected cannabis emitting from the vehicle. After the roadside investigation, Rhinehart, of Mt. Carmel, was taken into custody for possession of cannabis greater than 10 grams but less than 30 grams. Rhinehart was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he later posted a $150 cash bond.
Why Rhinehart, of all the punks busted this past week in Mt. Carmel, was singled out for a press release from the SD really isn't a mystery. Sometimes, the law just likes to show folks some of these characters that pop up on the arrest rolls. The characteryer, the better. They kinda think like us...if these guys are young and their friends give em a hard time being all over media, maybe they'll rethink their activities...like rolling along puffing pot in the car, always a dumb thing to do.
Trev...keep the weed at home. If you're delivering, don't use product. And for crying out loud...get a normal hair color and cover the tatts. If you're going to sling weed successfully, don't LOOK like a weed-slinger...you're just calling attention to yourself.
