The year is flying by as are the awesome issues of Disclosure NewsMagazine...and if you've never read one of our publications before, I'm here to tell you as publisher, writer, investigator, layout, chauffeur, check-writer, labeler and all-around housekeeper, THIS IS ONE TO HAVE. Why? Because it is packed full of amazing stuff you're not going to get anywhere else ...and if you're not keeping up with what we're producing, if you're skipping a month here and there...you're not getting the full impact of the series of articles, several of them, that have been going on over the past many months telling you what's REALLY happening in your area!

So we produce PRINT HEADLINES so you can see what's going on in each issue, and as well, so you can hit the headline link to each article as made available here at the e-Edition. If you don't have an online membership to the e-Edition yet, hit any of the headline links and you'll be taken to the signup page. A few mouse clicks and you're on your way to Disclosure nirvana, where you can read to your heart's content everything we've produced for the past nearly four years now ONLINE...and do it quick...we might archive at any minute.

Print Headlines are presented in order as they appear in the print product - Front Page, Back Page [our second front page], Pages 2 and 3, Features if any [usually pages 12 and 13], Egypt, Heartland, Central, and OpEd last. They are presented with dateline first (the area of the coverage where the article took place), followed by headline link, then a brief synopsis in our own snarky Disclosure style. And so now, without further ado, here's THIS MONTH'S PRINT HEADLINES!

FRONT PAGE

Former Dr. Brian Burns

Former Dr. Brian Burns

SALINE CO. - Doctor Burns accused of shooting wife, burning body: As horrific as the alleged murder of Carla Mae Burns was said to have been, there's something even stranger said to have been going on in the months leading up to her death. And folks, it's looking like one of the hot-button topics of Harrisburg over the past few months may have a role to play in it. We're not making this up; you can't make up something this strange or foreboding. But evil leads to evil...and there's been little included in our pages over the past 13 years that is as seemingly evil as this situation. Be watching as this develops...and be sure to keep up your e-Edition membership, so you can go back and peruse the previous articles and be among the edified who can say "See...? Told you."

SALINE CO. - Alleged driver 'tried to report wrongdoing': And while we're on the subject of the Chess Club (were we on the subject...? You'll have to read all the articles to see...), THIS guy could have handled his info a little bit better than he did. But dumb is as dumb does, and when he did dumb, well...suffice it to say, when you're advised by our staff that you're headed down a wrong path, TURN. AROUND. We know whereof we speak.

Yep, Mark was right. Them big glasses DON'T make her appear smarter.

Yep, Mark was right. Them big glasses DON'T make her appear smarter.

JASPER/LAWRENCE COs. - Charged with lying in grain theft case: Stacey Thacker. Or Stevens. Or whatever she's seeking to call herself these days. She herself made a really dumb move and allegedly tried to tell her hubby-behind-bars that she wanted a divorce...and suddenly, hubby remembered something about HIS alleged criminal case. This is the major, hot, tri-county story for NorCos...and it even has Richland County leanings regarding all kinds of trashy goings-on where this gal and her current enamorata are concerned. She shoulda kept it to herself...but you know how people on social networking are these days....

The real Marissa Patten

The real Marissa Patten

RICHLAND/CLAY COs. -  Case of missing teen has dark side: We're hearing that since the release of this issue, there's a LOT of grumbling about this article. To that, we have this to say: Be truthful. Be up front. There's a difference between a missing child and a runaway problem kid....and this story is about the latter.

BACK PAGE

Scott Way, tent-dweller. All he needs is a turban and a camel.

Scott Way, tent-dweller. All he needs is a turban and a camel.

WILLIAMSON/SALINE COs. - Way connection: How far does this reach?: And while we're on the subject of the Chess Club...oh wait, that was a few articles up...or was it? Maybe, just maybe, that's the Scotty Way connection after all. I mean, he WAS "living in a tent behind the hospital," according to his own words to friends and acquaintances who told us about it. You know what's "behind the hospital" in Harrisburg, right...? The Country Club and all those posh exclusive houses...? Maybe it was a nice tent...pitched in a well-manicured, bug-free backyard...of some high-roller...for a REASON.

Jeff Atwood

Jeff Atwood

RICHLAND CO. - Authorities describe house in Olney as scene of child torture: This is one of those articles that it absolutely sickens us to write. When a child says they're abused...for God's sake, for the child's sake, somebody PLEASE LISTEN TO THEM.

CLAY CO. - Standoff leads to entry of guilty plea, DOC: The wrap-up and official charges/resolution to the problematic Clay Pritchett, who made our March 18 a little more busy than it already was.

PAGE 2

CRAWFORD CO. - Unemployed Robinson sex offender charged again: This poor guy got stuck on page 2 because that's where the article fit. Otherwise, page 2 is a jump page for page 1 stuff...but do give it a looksee, since that's where some good adverts are.

PAGE 3

Chris Churchill

Chris Churchill

RICHLAND CO. - Convicted murderer could get new hearing: The followup to the article about the bizarre case involving Christopher Churchill...only this bit of coverage differs from that of other media because we, back in 1998, had some insight into his family issues and stuff that they and his friends were saying about him...and it's very disturbing. And if you think nothing can be more disturbing than the hammer murders of five people in their own home...? Yes, something can indeed be more disturbing than that. Read this article to see.

HARDIN CO. - Poor prosecutor slams man for neglecting critters: Tara Wallace gets a page 3 mention. Whodathunkit.

PAGE 13

Welcome to the Freak Show. I'll be your hostess, Phyllis Shoulders. Don't mind the leg shackles; I'm harmless. It's the tattooed guy you need to worry about.

Welcome to the Freak Show. I'll be your hostess, Phyllis Shoulders. Don't mind the leg shackles; I'm harmless. It's the tattooed guy you need to worry about.

Hi. I'm the tattooed guy you need to worry about, especially if you're a cop.

Hi. I'm the tattooed guy you need to worry about, especially if you're a cop.

SALINE CO. - Felon attending methamphetamine hearing threatens to "kill all those f^&king cops!": It was like a circus on parade April 8, the day Brian Burns had his hearing at the Saline County Courthouse that we were covering on deadline...and lo and behold, the rest of the freak show decided to show up, AND to mouth off. Here's coverage of it.

EGYPT

Zane Horton's nipple. Oh, also his surgical scar.

Zane Horton's nipple. Oh, also his surgical scar.

SALINE CO. - 'Road rage' incident not charged yet; OP issued: One of the strangest little pieces to come out of South Counties in a while: Recap of the attack on a veteran that apparently a lot of people are wanting to diss for some reason. This is the coverage of the OP wars going on with it; but the story is getting stranger, and we'll have more coming up, so don't miss this installment so you'll understand everything that's going on when it goes on.

GALLATIN CO. - Bike path incident, assault with deadly weapon, DUIs and drugs fill crime blotter: The general crim roundup in GallCo...and really, it's been quite quiet, comparably.

SALINE/WILLIAMSON COs. - Violent Marion man accused of beating girlfriend in Arby's parking lot: I can't even imagine observing this incident in the way apparently SEVERAL people did...I believe I'd have had to step in and crack a head or two, myself. Craziness. Must've been a full moon.

SALINE/WHITE COs. - Carmi man connects Harrisburg to White County meth round-up: Gotta love those crossovers...and we sure do have em in this issue.

SALINE CO. - Twenty-nothing busted gassing up stolen motorcycle with still-wet paint: And then we have the consummate Marching Moron, who would be better served going to an "Occupy"-something protest than trying his alleged brand of stealing and converting. You've gotta read this one to believe it.

SALINE CO. - Unemployed, penniless mom sentenced for bringing pills into jail: What issue is complete without a jailed dingdong pleading with the judge to let her out of the hoosegow because she has a brood of four at home to take care of...? Say it with me now: "Yew shoulda tho't a-thayut befour yew wuz a-doin sumpthin ta git JAILED FER, sister!!"

SALINE CO. - Harrisburg thug facing theft, strangulation charges: Not a lot of crimes against persons/violence matters in this issue, but the ones we DO have....? Gah.

SALINE CO. - Teen burglary, theft suspect fights with officer: And then, we have the cases where the crimes-against-property crowd meets crimes-against-persons crowd....and they make that very grave mistake of the "person" being a cop....

SALINE CO. - Robinson Street batterer back behind bars: Okay, I take it back about "not a lot of violence matters" in this issue....

SALINE CO. - 'Rado weapons suspect caught after running from police: Remember the big alleged gun heist, the first felony cases of 2016...? Some of those people just can't let things go, ya know...?

HARDIN CO. - Indiana man tangles with sheriff, threatens to kill officer's family: Never, ever a good idea to threaten a cop, let alone members of a cop's family...but some people don't get it.

HEARTLAND

EDGAR CO. - Edgar County Airport expansion project stalled by IDOT Division of Aeronautics: Happening on deadline, this occurrence gives people like Mike Heltsley reason to whine about the Edgar County Watchdogs and how they're "meddling" in county doings all the time. Uh-huh. I mean, really, you public officials should just be allowed to break the law (or at least grant app standards) with impunity, I know. It's impinging on your rights as the elite if you're not allowed to.

JASPER CO. - The dysfunction of the Jaynes spreads: It's like it's infectious or something with these people. Wait. It probably is....

CLARK CO. - Former clerk gets record cleared after two years: The recap of the sentence issued to the former Clark County Circuit Clerk who thought it was a good idea to allow her daughter to plump up her county-supported paycheck by clocking in hours at the courthouse that she didn't work...and after two years, we're all just supposed to forget it. Mhm. Bookmark this page, peeps. We're not forgetting it. No way.

JASPER CO. - "Inappropriate vulgarity" argued as reason for fitness exam: Which is to say...there's appropriate vulgarity....?

EFFINGHAM CO. - Was nursing home administrator's charge a waste of state resources?: At first blush, this looks like a cut-and-dried case of thieving an old guy's money. But when it's examined a little more closely...that just doesn't quite seem to be the case. You read it, and you decide. We want to hear what you think.

CRAWFORD CO. - Hoosier charged with lying for local doper: The Crawford County dope roundup....with a happy dope-face to go with it.

CRAWFORD CO. - Oblong convict charged with meth and weed: The Oblong dope roundup (even though we don't consider weed "dope"...just sayin).

CRAWFORD CO. - Boob-tatted suspected pill-head charged with damaging padding in cell: This gal got her own long headline because...well, a lot of people are tired of seeing her, and we're beginning to think that's including jail staff in Crawford.

CRAWFORD CO. - Convenience store files Small Claims suit: The irony on this one is strong. Be sure you read the art attached to this story.

CENTRAL

RICHLAND CO. - Additional dopers face charges in connection with Hurricane Burglary - What does Hurricane and Elbow have in common?: Annnnnnd we're back to the Hurricane Lane and Elbow Lane thing in Richland County. What, oh WHAT, in the world is going on here...? Are we ever going to figure this out...? It's like...safe harbor for dopers and thieves....

WABASH CO. - Keensburg sex offender accused of soliciting minor for child porn: Lots of people saying that this guy needs to just go away. Like, jump in a hole and pull it in over himself.

LAWRENCE CO. - Lawrence dirtbag charged with strangling meth doper: It's crim-on-crim crime! It's like that MTV claymation show that I used to get mad at the kids for watching, "Celebrity Deathmatch"...! We're going to have to come up with a new name for it if this keeps up...!

RICHLAND CO. - Authorities appear to have solved burglaries: Just...not the ones out on Hurricane Lane.

CLAY CO. - Flora woman sentenced for fighting with cop: Which is what's going to happen if you fight with a cop.

WHITE CO. - The usual suspects crowd up the White County roster this issue: Hey, this is an e-Edition Xtra! We overwrote...you benefit!

WHITE CO. - Career crim forges his way back into headlines: Another e-Edition Xtra, featuring that most repugnant of crims, Mikey Melendez.

WHITE CO. - White County lawmen nab 10 including drug dealers, users and marijuana growers: We've already had an amazingly amusing row with a dimwit over this article. Don't know where she's been...apparently not around when this alleged criminal activity was going on...or was she...?

WABASH CO. - Suspected Wabash County drug dealer captured: The WabCo dope crim report.

WABASH CO. - Ohio woman busted with buddy in MC with substantial weed amount: An e-Edition Xtra. When we first chronicled Quantesa, we didn't have her mug, nor the mug of Mr. Hollingsworth. And then, when we got them, we understood a little bit better what this kind of questionable activity can do to a person....

RICHLAND CO. - Thug trio confesses to bashing mailboxes, made to pay: Every couple of seasons, we get mailbox bashers in one county or another in the area. Hopefully, this is the only offering of THIS season.

RICHLAND CO. - Was drug convict trying to escape?: Hey, it's a Turrentine. And it's a pudgy one, so it might just have been that he didn't like what was being served for dinner and the flooring looked so much more appetizing...

HAMILTON CO. - Broughton woman leads drug report: Another e-Edition Xtra, this one coming out of HamCo.

LAWRENCE CO. - Chronic Sumner DUI driver busted again: And yet another e-Edition Xtra, this one, Lawrence.

LAWRENCE CO. - Lawrenceville habitual meth convict busted with substantial amount of weed: We hated holding this one out of the print edition, but...we just ran out of room. Buy an ad, though! Our ads are inexpensive, and reach a vast audience. When we have more ads, we can have more pages...so consider advertising!

HAMILTON CO. - Benton woman featured in Hamilton police blotter: Another e-Edition Xtra out of Hamilton County....originating in Franklin County...which borders HamCo...which explains a LOT.

WABASH CO. - Mt. Carmel woman charged with battering, bruising child: This gal is all over the news, and she looks kind of bemused about it. We're not sure if this is a whooping that just got out of hand, or if somebody is finally standing up to some alleged child abuse. If they were, it'd be something different in the Second Circuit, that's for sure....

CLAY CO. - Flora drug dealer busted with weed: And finally the last e-Edition Xtra for this issue, and yet another one that we hated to not put in the print version....but the color photo is much better to have right here, wouldn't you agree...?
