This was the scene at about 8 a.m. Friday, September 6, when multiple fire departments had controlled a blaze that heavily damaged both NAPA Auto Parts and Papa Mike’s Bar and Grill in Olney. The fire began around 4 a.m. and was difficult to extinguish due to flammable products and chemicals at the auto parts store. Mutual aid calls brought out fire response from several departments, including Noble/Wakefield, Claremont/Bonpas, West Salem, Wade, Bridgeport, Clay City, Sumner/Christy and Lawrence/Allison, to assist Olney FD.
