LAWRENCEVILLE, Ill.--Young hoodlums with nothing better to do have made a fairly expensive mess in the city park in Lawrenceville, and the inglorious way they got caught is just about typical for the stupid crims in the area: One of them hurt himself in the commission of his alleged crime and sought help from a facility that had to report the injury.
The incident apparently occurred right before the storm that messed things up in and around Lawrenceville (see this post), this afternoon (Friday, May 15).
Witnesses told law enforcement that two males were busting up sinks in the restrooms at the park. The two ran off and were not apprehended by law enforcement.
However, a short time later, one Jarod Glasser, an 18- or 19-year-old and, as such, old enough to really know better, appeared at the hospital in Lawrenceville with a badly-cut hand...which he ultimately disclosed had been injured on a busted up sink. In a restroom. At the park.
It's our understanding that he was taken in for questioning; whether he rolled on his punk compadre or not remains unknown at this time, but we'll try to have an update in the print version, available in a little over a week.
